I have been playing the 'Five Nights at Freddy's' games since their initial release in 2014. I fell in love with not just the gameplay, but the community surrounding the indie horror and the countless hours it's players spent trying to figure out it's detailed and complex lore. The film itself wasn't awful, however I was hoping it would replicate the games better. The lore in the film did not mirror that of the games whatsoever- this was my biggest letdown. The actual plot of the film was poorly put together and confusing. The easter eggs and actor cameos were one of the only things I actually enjoyed about the film, and ofcourse the amazing soundtrack. Side note- I believe that the plot of the film is meant to reminisce more of the books franchise.
