Prepare to die, and prepare to fall in love because this game offers plenty of both. Die: Yes you will. Over and over and over again. This is a Souls game, and that means it is hard in ways that other games don't offer unless Dark Souls is in the title. Fall in love: How can you not? This game offers God-level graphics, sound, music, storyline, character development, crafting, combat, many different paths through the game and all are viable. There is so much content here it will take you hundreds of hours if you want to see it all and do it all. And even then you probably left some more on the table. This is a state of the art and truly genre defining game that at its heart is nothing other than and old school open world RPG. A true one. One for the ages.
