I haven’t felt this excited while watching a movie since Endgame

Honestly not a bad movie if you like Keanu Reeves, supernatural storytelling with catholic undertones and simple “turn off your brain and have fun” plot. If you genuinely like John Constantine from the hellblazer comics you might be left feeling a bit disappointed. He’s no longer from Liverpool, Chas is down graded from “best friend taxi driver” to “some kid apprentice taxi driver”. That being said I really enjoyed the holy cross machine gun.

It’s just heartless and empty. The characters are barely anything like their original and the “mature” tone makes me grown. It’s like they wanted to make something else but couldn’t

The critical role cast really blew it out of the water with this one. Anyone a fan of critical role, dnd, or fantasy will enjoy this

A perfect video game tv show adaptation. Where it changes from the game it improves upon. Everything else stays true to the original. Even knowing the entire original plot I still found myself at the edge of my seat. It’s not just a horror apocalypse tv show, just like the game wasn’t just an action horror game. It tells a beautiful, deeply personal and insightful story.

The perfect love letter to the fnaf community. Filled with Easter eggs and references to not only the fnaf games but also the early fnaf community. If you’re like me and have been engrossed in this franchise since game 1 you will love it. If not… it will at least be entertaining. I loved how they pulled from a bunch of different threads from the games to pull together a cohesive story, which considering its FNAF is saying a lot. My only complaint is that the ending, while mirroring events in the game, felt a little rushed and sequel baity (oh wow squeals? In MY fnaf franchise?). Also it was like security breach levels of scary, that being… not very. Tho I am glad they did not utilize too much gore to achieve cheap thrills. I am glad they clearly made this for the fans, which had the unfortunate consequence of the movie not fairing well with critics. Oh well, it was the movie I had been waiting for for over 8 years and I couldn’t be happier

Absolutely loved it, the perfect sequel to the first series. Richter was so cool and I loved all of the vampire designs. Also having it set in the French Revolution made for an interesting plot

Coming into this movie I was expecting a fun girly pop glitter adventure. What I didn’t expect… was to cry. A lot. I’ve been going through a lot in my personal life relating to my identity and self worth and the Barbie movie hit it just right. It was everything I could ever want out of a fun commentary movie about Barbie

For starters, I am a massive Batman fan. Grew up watching the animated series, reads any and every comic I can get my hands on. I am also a big fan of the Riddler, I think him and the scarecrow are some of the most interesting Batman villains. This movie has a lot of pros and cons. I actually really like the tone, it reminds me of the tone of Batman: Year One. I like to think it’s almost like a sequel to the comic. However the slow burn could be very hit or miss. It’s slow and long. Which might not be the best for all audiences. While I didn’t mind the slow burn I could have done with it being a little shorter. The slow burn did help with the mystery aspect, especially since Batman is an actual detective. He is the world’s greatest detective after all. I’m glad that Batman is a detective again… but Robert Pattinson’s portrayal of the character was… fine. Just fine. I don’t think he was a very good Bruce Wayne but he was an okay Batman. He just seemed too… ego. While we can all agree batman is a broody guy Bruce Wayne is…less. Bruce Wayne actively supports charity, he actively uses his money to better Gotham. He’s devoted to making Gotham a better place both as Batman and as Bruce Wayne. Also he’s a highly charismatic man. This Bruce Wayne… isn’t that. Which I find disappointing. In a movie where the main story is about the corruption of Gotham’s elite it could have been an interesting way of showing how Bruce is different from the other elites in Gotham. But no. That would take writing effort and that was exhausted on The Riddler’s wack plan.They probably wanted it to be a character development thing but I wasn’t really sold on it. Guess we’ll see in The Batman 2. Now on to the riddler. He’s fine. He makes sense for the context and tone of the movie. I’m not a big fan of the idea of Batman “making” the Riddler. I don’t think that’s necessary. They could have easily made his motivation wanting to mess with The Batman. Especially since The Joker’s thing was that he was actually made by Batman. The made the Riddler actually seem like a threat and used him fairly well for the tone they wanted. Since we are talking about iconic villains, Catwoman. Selina. She… really didn’t have to be here. Her actress was good and I liked that she was more like the Batman Year One version. But her inclusion felt unnecessary. I enjoyed her… just didn’t need her. I guess my conclusion is: good movie… okay Batman movie. If you look at it in the context of the movie itself and only the movie it becomes more enjoyable. Unfortunately. I am one of those people with too much pre existing information of the bat and any live action depiction of Batman will continuously let me down.
