Lee Makuva

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was confusing at times, but in the end it all came together beautifully. What I really liked about the book was how each character was a protagonist to a certain extent- they each had their own backstory, which in the end came back/connected to Genie (the main protagonist). I might have shed a few tears here and there, but to anyone looking to escape into a post-colonial world with a touch of fantasy and magic, I would enthusiastically recommend this book!
