This is a lovely little show that covers a lot of relevant themes over its long run.
However, I simply cannot get past the horrible grammar the writers have the cast using. I would never allow my young children to watch this show because I don't want them picking up their bad grammar.
For example, Lou, a well-educated MBA will make statements like, "Me and Katie did...." when she should be saying "Katie and I did...." Or Amy saying "My dad is going with Tye and I." No one would ever say, "My dad is going with I." In that sentence, you would use "Tye and me" since the pronoun in that example is the objective case in this prepositional phrase, not the subjective.
The writing has been getting progressively worse over the past few seasons. Whoever is producing this show should hire writers who understand English grammar. Just because these people live on a ranch, you don't have to make them sound like uneducated hicks.
