It’s a meh for me. I read the book, and it was a fantastic piece of art. Then I watched the cinematic adaption, and it was plagued by Hollywood and it’s agenda. I enjoyed some parts, like the acting was very good, minus the chief elder, who didn’t seem to care about anything. I did not like how Jonas’ age was purposely off the mark and how they skipped like half the memories from the book. They had a quick shift to a war memory that was way to fast. I know they have a budget, but they couldn’t make it a half hour longer? I don’t recommend watching this unless you have nothing better to do and are stuck in COVID protocol or you are eating beef on a stick. Not the best Hollywood, but nice try.
