I thought this story delivered on all fronts. Was afraid when I started it that it might be just another Victorian house ghost story, but was not disappointed. Ruth brought the genre into the 21st century without loosing the thrill of the classics. I researched the poison garden only to find that it’s a real place that can be visited. Will be a recommended read for my family book club.
