Excellent -- Frontier N.C. could have more realistic since dirt floors and log houses and other buildings were the norm. My father and his predecessors are from this area where the film is set, and our ancestors obtained land from grants from military service following the War of 1812, and from before the American Revolution from the N.C. colonial gov't. I have also seen what the frontier houses buildings look like in British Columbia and in Washington State. Outlander set in N.C. was 'too modern' - could have been improved. Perfectly ironed and clean clothes do not fit the historical facts, nor do the vast nature of iron implements. These people were quite adroit at making their own implements from resources available in the local area, including dishes and utensils.
