A great cast but terrible direction and story, the sense of humor is a watered down version of what you'd expect to see in a borderlands game but it's toned down to the point of not being as funny and it has a lot of easter eggs for fans of the game series with a lot of characters in the background and the world itself. The action sequences are interesting but mostly boring and corny, you just want them to end to get to the next funny scene. I get the Idea of making an original story loosely based on the games but this one should have borrowed more from the games, this movie version of the characters is honestly bad and if it weren't for the amazing cast behind them they would be absolutely unwatchable and the story has no real direction, it is boring and predictable wich is the opposite of what you expect from the story in the games.

One of the best series I've seen in a long time amazing story and concepts, the visual effects are amazing worth watching in 4k or HDR although not necessary, it hits on a lot of themes that I really like, the world building, the sci-fi, religious aspects, Iove afairs, and betrayals it's all amazing. I have never read the books, people that were fans of the books seem to dislike the series because it diverts from the story told in the books, I don't think it's fair to rate it badly only based on that fact, it doesn't make sense to me, the series on it's own is one of the best series out there right now. If you like good series with great story telling, visual effects, and have never read the books you will love this series, I guarantee it will be one of your favorites but if you are a fan of the books be warned that this is merely based on the books and the story diverts from what you have read.

I expected the show to be terrible based on the reviews but I watched it and it wasn't even bad, the show has some interesting characters, Qimir is one of the more interesting vilains in the series, the story is pretty good and the visuals are what you would expect from a starwars series made today, it has some of the best fights in the series I expect this to be one of those "the acolyte was a hidden masterpiece" in like 20 years. if you pay atention to the bad reviews you will notice that almost none of them even watched the series they don't know anything about it or describe things incorrectly, like saying the main character's behaviour made no sense in this scene when it was clearly their twin in that scene or why did this character do this and that etc. anyone that watched the series would know that but someone that just watched clips of the show wouldn't. In conclusion don't be convinced by the bad reviews and check the series out you draw your own conclusions.
