Bee and Puppycat feels like something made by an Al with only the faintest idea of what "plot" means and a lot of "Japanese Lo-Fi music to study to" in its YouTube history.
It's like Rick and Morty had a baby with Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, and then THAT kid had a kid with the child of Adventure Time and Star Vs. the Forces of Evil. Then Steven Universe was the godparent. It's the Klaus Hargreaves of Love Death and Robots. Spirited Away if Mabel Pines got her hands on it. Animal Crossing with the Beatles circa Yellow Submarine.
In short, this show is a magical mystery tour with cotton candy visuals and a bizarre (yet charming) kind of shoegaze approach to music, sound effects, and voice acting. I'm pretty sure the landlord is voiced by Siri and for some reason this does not negatively affect the show, but rather adds to the dreamlike minimalism of the experience.
