643 pages….I actually can’t believe I persevered to the end, I think I just kept thinking/hoping it would get better - but it didn’t. No depth to the characters, didn’t end up feeling any affection or caring about any of them. Rubbish ending. Lots of words, too many superfluous and lacking meaning.... ”word salad” I think it’s called. Glad I found it in a book swap rather than pay good money for it, I’ll leave it for the next unsuspecting reader…..
