I have watched the complete Downton Abbey series since the beginning. I never missed an episode. My friends and I went to Wintethur in Delaware to the DuPont mansion there to see the Downton Abbey exhibit display. We saw the clothes worn in the series and spent the day at Wintethur sightseeing and visiting the Downton Abbey exhibit and gift shop. My sister and I saw the Downton Abbey Finale this afternoon. It was beautiful! I remember the ending was so beautiful but a little sad when Mary was remembering all the people and events that happened there including, at the very end, seeing her deceased sister Sybil on the stairway. The entire series, and the finale, were so beautiful and heartwarming. I started watching “The Gilded Age” this year and hope they have another season of another one of Mr. Fellows’ masterpieces.

“High Seas” reminds me of my friends and I and our admiration with the series “Downton Abbey”. Even the background music seems the same. We are so interested in these time periods and the romance, mystery and life style of the people that experienced such a different way of living so opposite of ours today. Everyone (family, neighbors, friends and even shoppers in in the grocery stores and florists in our hometown) was talking about the “Downton Abbey” series. How we admired a trip from our homes in Bel Air, MD to the DuPont Estate in Wintethur, DE to admire the beautiful clothes, videos and stories of the characters and actors involved in the series. “High Seas” (to me) is much more colorful, mysterious, and well acted that it can only captivate your attention. My friends and I so welcome watching “High Seas” Season 3. We hope there can only be more time period pictures being worked like this for future viewing.
