I am trying to understand what the hell this is….

Norah Jones is one of my favorite artists. She’s so versatile and yet always sounds like “herself”. This record has a very retro vibe. However I just don’t hear her best songs here. They’re all okay but nothing great. I’ll still be there for the next record (and tour) but I feel like all the “fun” was had in the making of the record and maybe too much fun writing it, instead of making the songs great.
