There’s nothing groundbreaking about this book that’s not already public knowledge, if anything just another project of Kathy’s profiting off black artists

Chip Kidd is one of the design greats and this feels like a passion project where he gets to go wild on a topic he loves. The images of the book are very cool and product shots like the extreme close ups of toys are so interesting you could blow them up and hang them on a wall as art. The content itself is really in-depth and do a great job of pulling back the curtain on the shows development in a way that I hadn’t seen before. It’s a shame it’s out of print cause this is a book that should be available for not only Batman but Kidd fans to experience as well
