Although the plot was fairly predictable for me, the character development and portrayals were amazing.. Michelle Dockery was a total standout portraying Laurie, Jacob’s mother.. I found it interesting that Jacob lacked the “murder” gene that his father and grandfather both have but then in the next sentence it is said it doesn’t matter as the murder gene is passed maternally..this is a little confusing as the dad and grandfather both have it.. in any case this is foreshadowing that perhaps Jacob did get the murder gene from his mother..
