*Spoiler Alert* Bob Marley: One Love was a depiction of "
The Legend's" Life right as he was on the cusp of international stardom. The audience is given glimpses into his early life and we sort of see how he became introduced to the Rastafarian Theology. All in all, a majority of the movie was focused on Bob Marley's music having a heavy influence on the people of Jamaica. The peak of the movie occurs when the assassination attempt on his life occurs and his beloved "Rita Marley" is almost taken away; thankfully she survived. As Marley embarks on a journey of self enlightenment and he rapidly becomes a household name, almost seemingly overnight; the movie ends with a full circle moment as he is found back in Jamaica performing the unity concert. I love Bob Marley and the running time for this film could have easily been doubled. I am certain when I say we would have sat through three and a half hours of a Bob Marley biopic. We didn't hear enough of Bob's music and it didn't do him justice. Afterall, he is "The Legend" I would recommend this film to everyone; just be prepared to walk out the theater yearning for more.
