This movie is full of wow moments. I didn’t read about it ahead of time and so wasn’t aware of the cast. All kinds of brilliant folks are in this movie, from Hallie Bailey, to Whoopi, to H.E.R, to Taraji, to Ciara, to... drum roll, please: FANTASIA nearly brought me to my feet! This was my third “The Color Purple.” I loved the first movie, and the premiere on Broadway, but this one captivated me in unforgettable ways.
