My review is going to be brief I enjoyed the movie, it's emotionally tense at times. I think they do a great job on if a grown man were to have adopted a 13 year old or got stuck with one like he did in a great situation on how there could be tension with some female who was going throughout adolescence.
For the people in these comments objectifying the way she's dressed I guarantee you if you look at their 13 14 year old daughter wardrobe it's even a lot more revealing and sexualized, and more than likely their makeup collection as well so disturbing how hypocritical people can be.
At the same time this movie shows how there would be that rebellion how one would want to smoke cigarettes or be that way and a person caring would try not to be too controlling but at the same time need to be..
I feel this illustrates over 13 year old can react at that age and shows the responsibility of how the male lead did not have any sexual relationship or try.. at one point she's asked for the father does for a living and she states he's my lover.
I had cousins at that age well I'm still very close with but they had huge crushes on me growing up that's not the case anymore but again nothing happened but it was there this happens with young girls, stop trying to live in a delusional world because turn the mirror on your side on your family and your daughters and I think they're more sexualized based off what you love them wear that's just where the people going off on this movie in the comments.
Natalie Portman played a great role in this movie and never once said she had problems with her adolescence of fear or anything like that after filming the movie.
In my opinion if you gave as much thought of your review of this movie to your own family the world would probably be a better place :)
