Godzilla (1954) is a Japanese Kaiju film directed by Ishiro Honda and produced by Tomoyuki Tanaka after he failed to get a Japanese-Indonesian co-production up and running, the film was inspired by the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and was released in Japan in 1954 and America in 1956 as Godzilla: King of the Monsters and became an instant hit ushering the longest running franchise with up to 38 films in total (As of 2024). A couple of boats had gone missing of the coast of Japan and a small fishing village on an island had been wrecked during a storm, a group of researchers and Journalists are sent to the island to find out what was the cause, turns out it was the destruction of a Prehistoric giant monster named Godzilla, who would eventually lay waste to Japan with humanity's only hope being a mysterious scientist named Dr Serizawa and a secret weapon he's been working on called The Oxygen Destroyer. Some people say this film is a cheesy monster movie, but really this film is more than that, it's actually a well thought out film with a really dark theme with Godzilla being a metaphor for Nuclear Armageddon, the characters in this film are well thought out, the Special Effects work is really nicely done and There are some scenes which are really emotional. Although there are some editing that is a bit questionable and some shots with the Godzilla puppet hasn't aged well. As a fan of Godzilla I would recommend this film if you want to get into the franchise and if you want to watch this film, please seek out the original Japanese cut which is easily the best version, there is also the American version Godzilla: King of the Monsters (1956) which adds Raymond Burr as Journalist named Steve Martin (Not to be Confused with the Actor) and Cozzilla (1977) which less said about that the better, So if you want to get into the Godzilla Franchise but don't know where to start? watch the original 1954 Japanese version of Godzilla it's truly a Monster film worth a watch. Spider-Man: No way Home (2021) is the 27th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-man: Far From Home (2019) and the 9th film to star the beloved Marvel Comics character created by Steve Ditko & The Legendary Stan Lee. After Mysterio revealed his secret identity to the world, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) seeks help from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to cast a spell to make everyone forget he is Spiderman, However After Peter tampered with the spell, Doctor Strange accidentally pulled people who knew Peter Parker from several Multiverses into their own so it's up to Spider-man to protect his world from the villainous visitors of The Multi-verse. After Watching this film yesterday I could easily assume that this is easily the best MCU Spider-man film and The best film out of Phase 4, The Acting, The Music and The Special Effects are all well done, The action scenes were well shot, The way this film used Fan service like bringing back Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Jamie Foxx as Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) with additional nods to scenes from the previous Spider-Man movies was also really clever and also there are some scenes are really emotional and will tug at the heart strings for some fans. All I could say about this film without spoiling it is that it's something really special for Spider-man fans and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who likes superhero movies and Spider-man, It is truly one web slinging adventure for everyones favourite web-headed superhero. Rating: 5/5

A miracle happened yesterday I went to the cinema again and watching this film makes me so great to be back in. Tenet (2020) is a recently released spy thriller directed Christopher Nolan who's known for directing films like Inception (2010), Interstellar (2014) and The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-2012), this film was supposed to come out in July but then a certain something happened so it got pushed back to August. the plot revolves around 2 spies on a mission to prevent World War 3 which instead of nuclear weapons will be caused by a bullet that will reverse time. As the first film I've seen at the cinema after a long time, It was a really good film, the acting was really good, the action scenes were well choreographed, I love the way they shot the film and as a replacement for Han Zimmer Ludwig Goransson brings us a fantastic score. However the movie can be confusing at some scenes especially the bits when they go back in time. But all in all this movie was a really good spy thriller and is definitely worth a ticket to see. Rating 4.5/5

The Plague Dogs is a British Animated film based on the novel by Richard Adams and was directed by Martin Rosen who also directed another film based on one of Richard Adams Books, Watership Down (1978). The Plot of the film revolves around 2 dogs Snitter and Rowf as they escaped an animal research centre in the Lake District and with the help of a red fox called The Tod try their best to survive in the wilderness and avoid being caught by the humans. Ok lets get the elephant out of the room, even though this film is animated and has a PG rating, it is by no means a kids film, this maybe one of the darkest and depressing animated films I've ever seen, up their with Watership Down (1978) and Felidae (1994), their are scenes of graphic violence and animal testing, In fact some scenes were cut out of the film for the American release. But aside from the Violence, there is a lot of good things, The characters are well written which makes you want to root for them, the animation is beautiful and blends well with the water colored backgrounds, the voice acting is really good and the ending is actually quite tearful, I won't spoil what happens. To sum up this is a beautifully animated film that I would highly recommend and if you are going to check it out I would recommend getting the recent Blu-ray release, however if you have children don't show them this film until their older, also if you're a fan of the Walt Disney films I would probably look somewhere else because this film has a slower pace compare to those, but other than that if you get the chance to see this film take it because it is one emotional ride. Filming a movie is like painting a picture, you need to put time and effort into it and boy the people who worked on this film knew what there doing. Parasite is a South Korean Black Comedy Crime Thriller film directed by Bong Joon-ho who also directed The Host (2006), Snowpiercer (2013) and Okja (2017), It first premiered at the Film Festival in Cannes where it won the Palme d'Or and most notably became the first film from a foreign country to win the Academy Award for Best Picture, I gotta a film like this definitely deserve those achievements. The Plot of the Film revolves around the Kim Family a poor and unemployed family who's son named Ki-woo was hired to teach the daughter of The Park Family a Rich Family and so the rest of The Kim Family tried to get themselves employed by The Park Family by pretending to be highly qualified individuals and infiltrating their household. By hearing the plot somebody think would it be a pulp fiction kind of plot when this is not case because Parasite is on of the Artistic films I've ever seen, the way that shot some of the cinematography in this film is really unique resulting in some beautiful shots that are breath-taking to look at, the acting is also really good and the story tells the themes of Class Struggle and Greed really well. Bong Joon-Ho knew what he wanted to make because he took much time and effort into making the best film that he possibly could and my god did he succeeded. I would highly recommend this film if you haven't watched it yet even if you're not into Foreign films I would still recommend it, It tells it's themes well, it has beautiful cinematography and it is very Artistic, It certainly is one piece of fine Art worth remembering. There are some things in the world that people don't need and are completely unnecessary, this film is definitely one of those things. Hellboy (2019) is a reboot of the Hellboy film franchise based on the comic books written by Mike Mignola, the film was originally going to be follow-up to the previous 2 Hellboy films directed by Guillermo Del Toro and starring Ron Perlman as the titular character, but after both Del Toro and Perlman turned down this movie it was decided instead that it would be an R-rated reboot probably because Deadpool was a big hit, so They hired Andrew Cosby to write the screenplay, Neil Marshall to Direct and David Harbour to play Hellboy. The plot of the film is based on 3 Hellboy stories, Darkness Calls, The Wild Hunt and The Storm and The Fury, it follows Hellboy travelling to England to be a part of a giant hunt with the Osiris Club, but then he discovered that The Blood Queen Vivien Nimue has been resurrected and wants revenge on humanity, so it's up to Hellboy and the rest of the BPRD to stop her and the Gruagach before they annihilate humanity. If there's one thing Hellboy (2019) is known for it would be that it is an unnecessary reboot that does most of the things it need to do wrong. But there are some good things about the film, the acting for the most part was good, especially David Harbour as Hellboy (even though he isn't Ron Perlman) and the Makeup and Practical effects actually look pretty good. However they're aren't enough to save the film which suffers from some big problems, like the CGI effects actually looks kind of bad, the violence being way too overtop for some viewers, the dialogue could be laughably bad and sometimes Hellboy little quips and jokes fall flat. But the straw that broke the camels back is the writing itself, rewatching it from my iPad last night I can see where people are coming from, there are 2 scenes in particular that stand out in my mind, the first one being Merlin trying to get Hellboy to use Excalibur to kill Nimue, I mean why wasn't Merlin aware if Hellboy pulled Excalibur out the stone he would bring Armageddon to the world, the other scene is the climax where Hellboy eventually pulled Excalibur out of the stone because Nimue killed Professor Broom, Hellboy literally forgot why he pulled the sword out the stone in the first and is only reminded when Alice summoned the spirit of the dead Professor, I mean in the original film when he's ushering in the Apocalypse at least he still remembers why he's doing it. Also speaking of the climax it is very disappointing that we didn't see one final battle between The demon Hellboy and Vivien Nimue, I mean just one swing of the sword to decapitate The Blood Queen, are you kidding me? When I first saw it at the cinema I thought it wasn't as bad as the critics make it out to be, now after rewatching it on my iPad and Blu-ray I say it's still not as bad but it's still a bad film, it's a violent mess of a movie that tried it's best, but falls flat on it's face and is a shadow to a duology of much better films. I would only recommend the film if you like movies so bad they're good like I do when I rewatch it because they're some really bad parts you can laugh at. but other than that if you want to watch some good Hellboy movies rewatch the first one and it's sequel Hellboy II The Golden Army, If you want to watch something that has violence and demons but is actually good maybe you should probably watch Hazbin Hotel instead and leave this reboot in the depths of Hell. To be honest when I first saw the first trailer with the not Sonic design I thought this movie was going to suck 100%, but then when they redo Sonic's design and released a new trailer I was like I hope this would be good but knowing video game based films I'm still thinking it's going to be bad, so when the reviews turn out to be good and my mum and I went to the cinema to see it yesterday I was like OMG this is actually really good. Jim Carrey was well casted as Dr Robotnik, Sonic was Cute and Funny and even though the story was a cliché buddy road trip movie it has charm and was really fun to watch, plus there are some Easter eggs in the film the Sonic fandom will love to spot. So in conclusion this actually my favourite movie based on a video game, the characters are enjoyable, the effects are top notch and the cinematography was well shot. Rating: 4/5
