I was bored with the first third of the book. I don't believe he remembers exact quotes of Morrison's conversations. He never managed the Doors when Morrison was alive. Bill Siddons did. And I certainly don't believe that as a 12 year old he was taken to breakfast by Morrison and his groupie girl when the author accidentally came across them making love in the Doors' office. There's more of this throughout the book. The author's sense of self-importance is delusional.

Poorly edited. Too bogged down with details... especially histories of the four main characters. We didn't need to know everything they ever did up to the time of the crime. Dull. Never finished the book.

Poorly edited. Trashy. There is no timeline as the stories just run together.

The book is a 20 year complaint about how the author couldn't do his job and in the end admits he doesn't know what happened or why. He gossips at the expense of people's reputations including the victims. He condemns Vincent Bugliosi yet is happy to ride his coattails.

I think the primary author knew his client was guilty but had a difficult time accepting it.
