The first 15 minutes of the movie doesn’t adequately prepare you for the shock of the last 15 minutes of the film. And in fact the car scene that serves as the focal point the last 15 minutes seems gratuitous. They could (should?) have taken another way to tell the story at the end, as that scene makes the film inaccessible and unwatchable to many.
