The critics really make me wonder sometimes. The primary complaint I am reading is that the movie is full of fan service. Fan service? For sure! Who in the hell do you make the movies for? If you want to make something no one will like, then by all means, go ahead, but if you want to make a movie the fans of the movie will enjoy, then, cue the gasp, make a movie the fans will enjoy. It wasn't perfect, it wasn't as funny as the first (still funny though!!) but it was a really great way to revive the franchise, give the old folks (read - the fans) something to whoop and holler about and lay the groundwork for another movie. What sucks though is that another flick all depends on the dollars generated, which I get, but damn y'all, what are you expecting? Go into it expecting to have fun and you just might. Podcast stole the show!
