Although the first season and start of this season were, at times, slow and laborious to get through, I believe that with a story of such epic proportions, this is par for the course and important to build background and character development and boy does it pay off in the second half of this season!
I was genuinely blown away and felt fully invested in some of the character arcs woven into the storyline, particularly Adar’s. I also admired the portrayal of Sauron as a more multi faceted character, especially in Celebrimbor’s final scene, where he is seen to shed a tear after the formers last words to him.
There are some truly exceptional performances from the actors, even in the slower parts and I was on the edge of my seat during the final two episodes, with goosebumps throughout.
All in all, if you are willing to put in the work and persevere, everything you have learned in season 1 and the start of season 2, starts to make sense and the pay off is absolutely worth it!
I for one, will be devastated if they don’t renew it for a third season.
