A perfect blending of writing, directing and acting. Absolutely hilarious and at times heartbreaking (the ending with the origamis put me through a whole box of Kleenex). I have never laughed so much...or cried so much... during a series; the very clever dialogue was superbly presented by both leads, both of whom were on their A game. I'm sure both Applegate and Cardinelli improvised many of their lines because their reactions to each other were incredibly genuine. As far as the SJW stuff is concerned...well, Jen doesn't like elephants being killed for ivory. Who does?! And, yes, Jen does make efforts at being 'woke' (I hate that word, it's stupid) but that's part of the joke. Jen isn't woke at all but she tries because she lives in Laguna, CA for crying out loud- the Land of Woke. She fails miserably in her attempts and the result is hysterical. Every actor in this fantastic effort is on point- they couldn't be any better or funnier. Perez the detective...she is the hidden gem in this series and holds her own in this wonderfully assembled cast. Every time she appears it's a guaranteed laugh fest. There is definitely a "Will Ferrell" influence, you can see and hear it- and it's a plus to be sure. Do yourself a BIG favor- watch this, you will fall in love. xoxo

What on Earth was Tilda Swinton and Ed Harris, not to mention John Hurt, thinking when they hopped aboard this Mess Train? Yeah, we get it, it's all about the injustice of class distinction. This was already done to the level of genius in "Dr. Zhivago". The only saving grace in this convoluted film is the rare humor the lovely Ms. Swinton brings to this disaster.

The funniest sitcom I've ever seen on any continent!! Loveable characters so well developed and a script of the sharpest, driest British wit!!

What was Mr. Quaid thinking when he made this turkey?! Terrible, cliché-ridden script. Someone actually says "This'll hurt me more than it hurts you." Are you kidding me?! Unnecessary annoying characters (the two aviation-enthusiast kids- they serve absolutely no purpose to the story). Best part of the movie were the credits because the actual people involved in this very frightening situation were featured. This could have been a good endeavor as the actual situation is very compelling. Instead, we get two very talented lead actors that don't want to be there and maybe just needed the money. It's ok when Nick Cage does it because he always gives his all.
