A great film if you understand the character's vulnerability. This is very close to my life. I didn't have the good fortune to go to college (university) as a child. I had always wondered about the road not travelled, I guess I don't have to now. Carrie doesn't understand why people say one thing and do another; it's taken me a lifetime to get near to that understanding. It's a wonderful piece of art, characters of depth and meaning without any pretence. There are a lot of negative reviews, which I understand, it's Marmite, you either like it or you don't. I did.
