This film is so very slow paced. It needed severe editing. So while the overall idea of the plot is good, Hitchcock wastes time with little details that slow the film down. Performance are very good overall.

This film is one of the worst films I've ever seen in spite of starring Clark Gable and Norma Shearer. How the play ever won a Pulitzer is beyond me.

3 stars. The biggest problem with this film is Al Pacino's accent! It's way too thick, although it sounds authentic. As a result, Pacino, in the leading role, is too difficult to understand. This film also has the most graphic violence ever depicted on screen. It's almost unbearable to watch certain scenes. Other than all of this, it's an intense, riveting movie. Serena

The Firm is thoroughly entertaining and the actors are great in it. Cruise is wonderful in his role as a young lawyer.
