3 stars. The biggest problem with this film is Al Pacino's accent! It's way too thick, although it sounds authentic. As a result, Pacino, in the leading role, is too difficult to understand. This film also has the most graphic violence ever depicted on screen. It's almost unbearable to watch certain scenes. Other than all of this, it's an intense, riveting movie. Serena

The Firm is thoroughly entertaining and the actors are great in it. Cruise is wonderful in his role as a young lawyer.
