I’m actually amazed that this show has gotten such terrible reviews. I’ve watched almost every single marvel and DC show and movie to have come out in the past 10 years. Some of them are absolute sacrilege and should be burned to cinders, the ashes encased in cement, then cast down into the Marianas trench never to be spoken of again. Inhumans was NOT one of those shows to me. The first episode was definitely a rocky start (I mean that red wig alone was a follicular nightmare.) but as the episodes went on it improved greatly. It’s not perfect by any means but I enjoyed it quite a lot. It was well written, if not maybe a little simplistic. The acting was darn good and the characters designed in a way that makes you empathize and care for them, even the villain. All of the actors had chemistry on top of that and that is so important to me in shows and movies. I can always tell when there is none, or when it’s obvious actors plain old do not like each other but are meant to act as friends/love interests, and it takes me out of the world I’m supposed to be invested in. The cgi on inhumans and other visuals were on par with most other tv shows, better than what we get on the flash in my opinion. I never listen to bad reviews of anything and reserve judgement until I’ve seen something for myself. I’m glad I didn’t listen and watched inhumans because I had a really great time with it. Personally, I found it far better than the gifted or the runaways, both of which sent me flying into a rage at the poor writing, shaky plots, convoluted melodrama, and some pretty bad acting. Don’t even get me started on gotham! Inhumans left me wanting a second season and it’s disappointing we won’t get one now. All in all, I give this show a 7/10.
