I'm like every other die hard football fan, "hopeful" that EA will put out a good product each yr, they failed again! I've played one game (All-Madden, Offline Franchise Mode) and don't have the urge to play another game. I'm from the era when folks would stand outside of GameStop waiting for the release, that's gone! Same issues I've seen for years, cpu controlled QBs are too accurate, you can forget trying to play defense, especially after the 2 min. warning. The so called physics engine is more marketing than substance, yeah they added a few new screen overlays but that gets cheesy real quick! EA pulled one of best business moves of the century by getting that exclusive NFL license, 2K took their previous NBA game and made it an after thought, something you would buy for a 12 yr who never played basketball and doesn't know no better. Who plays NBA Live? The only way EA will put any real effort into these games is if they have competition like they had when 2k produced a much more detailed game with weekly broadcast/halftime shows back in 2005 that actually had Chris Berman with an ESPN backdrop providing weekly highlights! 2k did this with much less experience, imagine what they could with 20 yrs. under their belt! Please don't listen to these folks that are providing positive reviews, they're like men who've only dated ugly women, their idea of a dime is skewed!

I usually don't post reviews but I'm making an exception this yr. EA Sports pulled the best business move in ensuring they would have no competition years ago! That boat has sailed and I assumed a more powerful system would improve the game significantly but that hasn't been true. They pimp out every football fan each year with marketing...who's gonna be on the cover? Who's a part of the soundtrack? Yet the fundamental game which was built on Franchise Mode is cheesy for a game made in 2023. I've been playing and purchasing Madden since the early 2000s and I've watched EA add, remove and re-add the same features....I can remember when the field actually got muddy or if you were losing the crowd responded by leaving early! I don't play online because everybody cheeses and runs the same plays so in playing the CPU I look for an honest challenge! Except the CPU makes every quarterback unrealistically accurate, it's impossible to apply pressure, they've inundated the pre-snap menu with so many options it's impossible to humanly make an adjustment before the ball is snapped and tackling the cpu in the open field requires me to switch to the closest guy and have the cpu perform the tackle. I could go on....but with all the talk about this being a make or break year it's been a joke. EA has a cash cow and they know it...keep enticing suckers to pay for virtual players and get the most popular NFL athlete to promote their game....the suckers will be back next season!
