Really liked it. I love the way the writer respects and honors the feelings and emotions of the characters without belittling them. Beside the great love story between Alma and Ichi, we have a very sensitive description of getting old as well death. The real heroine of the novel for me wasn’t Irina but Alma. Her character was so well composed, the reader learns to love her with all her flaws and sins, because she is only human after all. :)
