I've been very curious to watch this movie, as it's highly-praised. At first, the poster seems boring to me - I mean - 5 middle-aged rich women? But then, I read this comment saying, "Try watching the first episode, and you'll get hooked." I swear, it's so true. It makes me want to keep watching, because we have no idea how the plot will turn.
I like how the characters are all developed in a logical plot, and how they turn to be their opposite selves at the end. Like Yeh Jung's mother who eventually let go of her greed, Seung-Hyun who finally stop fearing her husband and challenge him in order to protect her kids, even Jin Hee who stop following other people and has her own principle.
This series shows how hard it is to be a mother who has to raise kids well, while living up to people's expectation. Moreover, it also teaches how human react when they are torn between following thwir conscience or prioritize their beloved.
I definitely recommend this drama, it still is the best Korean drama I've ever watched. It compliments Parasite in some way, as it exposes how rich Koreans live and what their problems are.
This series is super relatable to almost everyone, from kids who are dreading exams and their parent's scold to mothers who have to build good character on their children while ensuring their bright future, and also fathers who might be ignorant of the struggle each household member faces.
