I think him along with Trevor Noah are hilarious, I just worry that people are taking their talking points as serious or even factual. They need to make a disclosure that it is basically equivalent to SNL’s Weekend update. That’s what I loved about John Steward he made sure the audience knew he was a comedian poking fun at serious current events. Oliver is really going hard, he even used a video clip from the al jazeera to see if anyone was paying attention.
