Masterpiece, they did such a great job with this game. This was my first souls game and I played for 180 hours to almost 100% the game. I was level 150 by the end of the game and had a blast dying and overcoming challenges, there is one incredibly difficult boss towards the very late game that is optional and the highlight of this game for me. So the ending was a bit bland compared to that fight in particular, but I can't blame the game for that one. 10/10 game of the year.
