Ok, perhaps the worst series I’ve ever watched beginning to end! Do I wish I had my time back? Absolutely! So the ridiculous premise this story has at it’s core is an actual railroad running from the deep south to the north. We’re talking steam locomotives operating underground that go totally unnoticed. By the time they reach Indiana, it’s a full blown underground Grand Central Station. Once I realized this story would have no basis in reality, I should have cut my losses!!! If the trains aren’t enough, there is a high level of graphic violence including hangings and burning people alive as a form of discipline. Did horrendous violence occur against slaves? Absolutely, and this aspect of the story brings that fact to life in horrifying detail. If this series were more true to reality in other respects, the violence would have made more sense. When large parts of the story are pure fantasy, that heavy dose of reality seems out of place. The story line departs from history in so many unnecessary ways that it makes it unwatchable. Don’t waste a minute of your time on this series!!!

I really appreciated this film. It was thought provoking, had a very nice stillness to the pace and a very moving story. Fundamentally about relationships, profound sadness and the mourning of a loved one and lost opportunities. The relationship between the two individuals in the Sea of Trees was integral to the story and presented a non western view of life, death and passing into the next phase of existence. The couples relationship is revisited throughout the film through flashbacks that tie the story together. Unlike many films I’ve seen, this one has left an impression when most don’t.

Worst low budget film I’ve ever seen! Not a single person in the cast can act and the dialog is monotonous and extremely amateur! Don’t waste your time on this predictable POS!!! Sorry about the POS comment but I’m actually angry at myself for watching 45 minutes of this …., angry at the cast for thinking they’re actors and angry with everyone else involved for actually collecting a paycheck for their part in this!!! Ah… I feel so much better!
