I LOVE this movie. This is obviously my opinion, and you might not like it, but I wanna talk about why I like it for a second. For starters: The animation is STUNNING and really drawn by human hands; props to EVERYONE that worked on it❤️❤️❤️. Two, the character development of everyone is very well done and well paced. I know the “rush spoiled kid learns to be nice and good through the power of friendship” trope can get old, but Jesper just kinda feel different (for me). He really does actually feel like a person that’s learning from his mistakes and getting better. Klaus’ place in this makes their friendship and movement without the movie brings a tear to my eye every rewatch honestly. And finally, three. I don’t celebrate Christmas. I come from a Jewish family, so in December we celebrate Hanukkah instead. Movies about Christmas don’t usually get me, but this one really did. And I LOVE it for that.
