Manapunk

This game is one of the ones I know I’m going to be looking to replace but never can once I’m finished. It’s so fun, and there’s so much to do and explore, and fun mechanics to master. There is one big problem though and that’s the stuttering that happens often. This problem may be exclusive to the switch, but I can’t speak for the other platforms. Normally stuttering like this would be a deal breaker for me, which speaks for how fun this game is. Switch users may want to hold off or get it on sale. I just got it for $10 and to me it was worth every penny and frame drop.

I can’t speak for the quality of the game on release because I only have it a shot early this year because of the awful reviews, but this game is so fun I feel like the devs must have changed it entirely from its release. It’s the combat I’ve always wanted from monster hunter, and less number crunching. You spend far less time in menus, and more time having fun with some really cool and interesting weapons. The monsters themselves are pretty awesome too. Not as many and not as awesome as some of monster hunters, but that games been around a while. I’m glad I gave it a shot. I was shocked the reviews were so bad, I honestly don’t get it. To me this is a strong contender against mhw and I have hundreds of hours in that game. TLDR: fun game, with cool combat and less boring and tedious menus, but less armor variety and monsters than monster hunter.
