Poorly written, very slow pace, off-the-shelf stock characters both in the 50s and 2000s, half way through couldn’t care less “whodunnit”. Agatha Christie likely turning in her grave - an insult to detective fiction. Clever idea having a book within a book but that’s the only intriguing thing about this series. Avoid.
