I watched this film because I am a fan of Matthias schoenart Ralph Fiennes played a buffoon. A waste of talented cast. More of a paycheck for the stars rather than a film to capture the audiences interest. Slow and boring from the get go.

Martin Scorsese's artistic vision may have been outstanding for many years, but no more. The irishman was awful with al pacino, (awful acting) these guys are has beens.🐌 slow paced film. I suppose some will act in any film no matter how much below par for a pay check. The only good thing about shutter island is seeing mark ruffalo. People who gloat over pacino/ Scorsese collaboration are just creating empty hype.

Knightly can do no wrong or a bad film. Skaarsgard is very authentic as always. Loved film and them.
