Beautiful to look at however, completely missed the mark on the messaging of the societal male/female power imbalance. What could have been epic falls flat due to the sophomoric approach of cramming down our throats that men are selfish, oblivious, creeps who suck. As such, all of the fun moments in this movie are watered down. Additionally, the propaganda that Barbie was created to empower little girls and make them feel like they could be anything is nauseating.

Great show, wonderful cast, interesting mystery. What ruins the show is the gratuitous use of the F word among other four letter words. It’s as if mommy left for the day and the kiddos were left alone with a bag if candy. Or like when Miley Cyrus went full throttle Madonna to prove she was not a Disney princess any more. Ugh!
