Darker side of happiness
This is an incredible debut fantasy novel by NZ author Coley Taylor. I was amazed at her impeccable writing style, complex characters and epic world building.
Told from multiple POV really helped bring each character alive and gave us some backstory with an understanding of their motivation for the decisions they made. Coley managed to seamlessly weave these together in a way that kept the story flowing and me fully engaged and invested.
The depth of the characters and their development throughout the book is genius, your feelings for characters will change as you continue to read, and you will question good and bad as you go.
