Love the complexity! I'm a Dune fan from way back and have read well intimidated the volumes created by the sons. This story just keeps going.

Finally Big Sky is taking off. It's been a slowride so far with a lot of confusion about which character's story we were meant to follow. But now with Ronald`s turn to serial killing and law enforcement characters accepting Cassie and Jenny as real dectives, the story has a plot line, likable characters and a clever villian.

I watch it just waiting for something interesting to happen. The will she or won't she be invited to a party at Mrs. Astor's house is boring. What's at stake? Stealing a butler or cook or Mr. MANNERS was interesting. Turning out Mrs Turner was gratifying because we knew Turner was a conniving witch who would sleep with her husband. And the whole butler episode upset just about everyone in the two households AND we understood why. But the two old guard ladies don't leave the house memorably--yes we saw them at the charity event George destroyed BUT he was the center -- they didn't have a dramatic purpose in that sequence except to be observers. And when Agnes had a fight with her son it happens off stage. So Merel Streep got her daughter an acting job as the pretty young thing -- I hope she can do more than say a line with her well modulated voice. At this point I don't buy it that she is any where close to love with the Raines character. I'll keep watching unless the Russians war goes in a different direction and demands constant attention. 3 stars for sets and costumes - especially HATS !!! .
