Definitely one of the dumbest movies i’ve ever seen. I am baffled by the fact that this film was somehow rated so highly. Maybe in Australia they have different standards when it comes to good horror movies… I don’t know. Long story short, the mother (Amelia) eventually found a way to “scare” The Babadook… by simply yelling at it. No, i’m not kidding. She screamed at The Babadook and it retreated to her basement to go into hiding. The same monster who possessed her, snapped her dogs neck, and attempted to kill her son… but wait, it gets better! We end up finding out at the very end that The Babadook remains locked up down in their dark basement… Amelia is shown bringing it worms to eat from their garden. Don’t waste your time with this one folks. I’ve never been catfished by positive ratings on a movie before until now.
