Probably one of the worst of Grisham's novels. Just a lot of unwanted, unrelated babble none pf which is connected to the main story. Do not understand what the second part of the novel relating to the war in Philippines added, either to building the character of Pete or reinforcement of the story as a whole. Just there to occupy pages.
