As someone who read the book years ago I was worried how this movie would hold up but I loved it. Teared up several times and made me want to go hug my mother. I genuinely donโt understand all the negative reviews. The amount of men claiming itโs just a depressing โfeminist propagandaโ film is so stupid and people that missed the entire message behind the movie and think that she made motherhood look awful.
The whole point is that she LOVES being a mom! But she also loves being herself and she should have the ability to do both without letting either role she has die off. And that admitting being a mom is tough and challenging doesnโt make her a bad mom.
Makes me sad that so many people got so wrapped up in the dog aspect of the movie rather than the message behind it. I thought it was beautiful
