Such an important topic but I felt it couldโve been portrayed a lot better overall. Itโs very slow, a lot of time spent on general shots of the California skyline or roadway scenery, and then just a lot of contrasting scenes like people brushing their teeth in an apartment vs. brushing outside of a tent. Doesnโt go deep enough into the daily hardships of people struggling with homelessness. It just barely touches on the surface of what some of these individual deal with. Maybe it was due to a privacy issue of the individuals in the film, but I feel that this documentary would be more effective/touching if it showcased more detailed struggles of individuals trying to survive while living on the streets.
