First half of the book was so boring. I gave it 3 stars because the 2nd half was a little better. Xaden went from bada** to p**** whipped. I hope book 4 makes up for the let down.

If you're like me you've waited years to read Twilight from Edwards point of view. And If you're also like me this book was a huge disappointment. I always thought the Twilight books were written by a juvenile so I was hoping a more imaginative co-writer would step in and make this book great. Edward is well traveled, smart and educated. That does not come through in this book. Yes you learn what he does when he's not with Bella but what he does is so boring and unimaginative. I think Stephanie Meyer was just lucky with Twilight and this book proves that point. This was an opportunity to show us who Edward is but she apparently can not write anything other than the mindless whines of a teenager.
