I am giving it 2 stars because the creative and digital artists deserve a ton of props. The writers on the other hand are complete garbage. These obviously paid for critics are complete liars. When you focus 3/4 of your reviews on blaming the white man, admitting you don’t know anything about the books, and not admitting that every actual LOTR fan that made this so incredibly popular and dedicated a ton of their time and energy in it don’t know what they’re talking about has every right to be pissed then sorry…but you’re just either paid for, a woke moron, or everything that’s currently wrong with Hollywood…standing on the backs of something/someone/a group of people that worked so hard to make something popular while spitting in their face by entirely changing everything about everything while being so focused on woke identity politics that you forget the most important thing/s. And that’s to write a good show and that NO ONE and I mean no one goes to the movies or watches a show to have more politics and identity politics shoved down our throat after having to deal with it everywhere in our daily lives. TV shows are movies are supposed to be imaginary, an escape from real life, and get too be whatever the writer wants it to be. It’s not supposed to match up identically with the world of the population diversity of the US (and Yes, I am saying the US because of course there’s ton of races all over the world but not a single other one that isn’t about 90% all of one single race. Idk why people can’t admit that and entirely forget it). This show is visually captivating but not captivating at all at the same time. I watched it numerous times trying to get through it because I kept forgetting I was watching it and honestly still don’t know what I watched besides the work of some badass graphic designers. Mad props to them because they deserve all sorts of respect. Amazon deleting all the reviews is so hilarious because they are also now probably going to block and sensor them when they come back because the same LOTR fans that are pissed will go right back and leave another review. Feel free to watch this but don’t expect to have any idea what’s actually happening or be into the story because it’s basically sole trash so far. Hopefully they get passed that and some writers and the graphic designers save the show because it looks pretty bleak so far.
