This is utterly an abomination of a movie adaptation. They excluded the greatest character in all of literary fiction, special agent Pendergast. The casting of dagasta is also poorly done and diminishes his beloved character from the books. While some may say this is a movie separate from the book, I should say to you that you are a genuine d-wad. These books are some of the greatest works of detective literature, and this if this movie ever wanted to be good in any sense of the word, it should have at least stuck to the book at least slightly. But it dosent. And it is utterly sad and should be one of the biggest regrets in modern day cinema. If they had just stuck with the book, and the character of Pendergast, and done well casting the original characters, this could have been the start of a very long running and ground breaking motion picture series. But they chose the route of low iq and neglect for success. The producer and directors should die a horrible death they deserve, as they missed out on the potential beginning of an iconic series and undoubtedly what would go down in history as one of, if not the best book to movie adaptations in modern day cinema history. Long story short, the people in charge of this production should end themselves to save them from the embarrassments of the error and missed opportunity of a lifetime.
