The movie was poorly written. The beginning left me hyped up wondering how they'd turn this possibly apocalyptic movie into something great. But most of the entire film had us wondering what was wrong and had nothing on the apocalypse itself. It was just road trip miles after miles and bad decisions in those miles. So many scenes were unnecessary because it didn't add to the story and left us with more questions. The male lead was stupidly trusting and honestly his potential father in law is the only reason he even lasted at all. The third character Ricki was picked up with no real substance and disappeared just as quickly. The dialogue that brought her on board was flimsy as hell and plain dumb. The ending was even worse, no explanation on what was happening just conspiracy theories and a man trying to kill Will (the male lead). The interactions were also bland and lacked depth. And the ending was so annoying.

Totally predictable and underwhelming. The cast look great but dialogue, action and motif are just poor. The wrong people end up dead, there’s unnecessary build up in some instances and results ends up being anticlimactic.

It is an okay movie, most likely trying to show us that women can be heroes too (especially without the help of men). The movie is mostly unrealistic though and seems like a comic book come to life, just with real people and sometimes cringey dialogue and action.
