A nice nostalgia trip. That era gave some great music but it was the beginning of rock and roll apartheid. No Black performers not even a recognition of their influence. Once the LA scene took over (and the British) few Black acts outside of Motown got airplay on rock stations. One of the Shirelles was asked once to comment on the statement that the Beatles saved rock and roll. She replied “Saved from what??”
