This book was written in 1898, and I found it to be a not so objective review. Written in a fashion that supported the "Lost Cause" narrative of the Civil War, it clearly is sympathetic to the memory of Stonewall Jackson and the south in general, by an author who's bias is clear and obvious. It's a worthy read for one looking to understand the views at the time, and from that sense it's historically accurate, but more objective/honest reviews are available.
